Nezox Brands started in 2008 as a small-scale production company in Honde Valley. We saw local banana farmers losing significant portions of their harvest—green bananas rejected, ripe bananas overripe, peels wasted, and mangoes underutilized. Motivated to reduce these losses, we discovered growing demand for green banana flour and dried fruits in the health and wellness market. By partnering with farmers, we transformed discarded produce into valuable products, creating income and employment. Our approach emphasizes zero waste and value creation, benefiting farmers, local youth, and consumers while promoting sustainable, affordable, locally produced foods.

OUR OPERATIONS
- Our facility is powered by a 3KVA solar system, with ongoing collaboration with the local electricity provider to ensure consistent power supply.
- Nezox Brands is located at Plot 10, Mupangwa Area, Honde Valley, Mutasa, Manicaland.
- The processing facility includes a 72-square-metre drier, with plans to acquire three additional driers to increase flour production capacity.
- Initial production ranged from 150 to 600 kg of flour per month, steadily increasing following participation in the Old Mutual Zimbabwe Value Creation Challenge.
- The core team consists of four permanent staff for drying and processing, supplemented by additional workers during peak production periods
- We currently utilize a local grinding mill, with plans to build an on-site milling facility and three additional pack sheds, providing storage capacity of approximately 12 tonnes per month.
- Our processing operations are supported by 42 local farmers who supply raw materials.
- We maintain a partnership with RAW Foods, supplying flour and dried fruits for their supermarket chain clients, enabling expanded market reach beyond artisanal outlets and ensuring consistent supply even during challenging periods.
